Limited lifetime warranty

Mountain Movers Limited Lifetime Warranty

This Warranty Policy governs all warranty coverage provided by Mountain Movers for its products. By purchasing or using any Mountain Movers product, you acknowledge that this policy applies.

1. Warranty Coverage

Mountain Movers provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all roof racks, bed racks, components, and mounting accessories manufactured by Mountain Movers. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and remains valid for as long as that purchaser owns the product. The warranty automatically terminates if the product is sold, transferred, gifted, or otherwise passed to another person.

This warranty covers defects in materials, workmanship, and structural integrity of the Mountain Movers product itself only, when the product is installed according to Mountain Movers installation guidelines, used for its intended purpose, and not altered, modified, or misused.

2. Conditions for Warranty Coverage and Load Ratings

Warranty coverage applies only when the product is installed using official Mountain Movers instructions, mounted on the correct vehicle model or configuration, and used strictly within the published dynamic and static load ratings of the Mountain Movers product.

All load ratings published by Mountain Movers apply only to the rack system and its components, as manufactured and supplied by Mountain Movers. These ratings do not represent, imply, or guarantee the load capacity of the vehicle roof, roof rails, mounting points, body structure, or vehicle chassis.

The customer is solely responsible for verifying and complying with the maximum load limits specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Any damage to the vehicle, roof, roof rails, mounting points, body panels, or structural components resulting from load, use, or installation of a Mountain Movers product is not the responsibility of Mountain Movers and is not covered by this warranty.

Covered use includes overlanding, camping, travel, and daily gear transport when performed within the limits of both the Mountain Movers product and the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications. If a manufacturing defect occurs under these conditions, Mountain Movers may, at its discretion, replace the defective component, replace the entire product, or issue a full or partial refund.

3. Sole Discretion

All warranty claims are subject to review by Mountain Movers. Mountain Movers has sole discretion to determine warranty eligibility, whether a defect exists, the cause of any failure or damage, and the appropriate remedy. Submission of a warranty claim does not guarantee approval.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty is void if the product is modified in any way, including drilling, cutting, grinding, welding, repainting, re-powder-coating, chemical stripping, or installation of non-approved brackets or hardware. Any modification results in immediate termination of warranty coverage.

The warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper installation or use, including failure to follow installation instructions, mounting on damaged, bent, weakened, or incorrect mounting points, use of incorrect torque values or missing hardware, improper load distribution, overloading, or using the rack as a recovery point, jack point, or lifting point.

Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or neglect is excluded from coverage. This includes accidents, collisions, exceeding the published load ratings of the Mountain Movers product, unsafe cargo handling, extreme off-road impacts, or failure to inspect and maintain mounting hardware.

Environmental and external damage is not covered. This includes normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage such as scratches or dents, coating or finish wear, corrosion caused by chemicals or road salt, and trail damage from external impacts.

Mountain Movers is not responsible for damage caused by third-party products or accessories, including tents, lights, awnings, non–Mountain Movers hardware, aftermarket roof rails, or vehicle modifications. Any structural failure or vehicle damage resulting from such products is outside the scope of this warranty.

5. Defective Product on Delivery

If a product is received with a confirmed manufacturing defect, Mountain Movers will, at its discretion, replace the defective component, replace the entire product, or issue a refund.

Mountain Movers may require photographic or video evidence of the defect, return of the defective component or product, and inspection prior to approval.

6. Exclusive Remedy and Vehicle Liability Disclaimer

Replacement of a defective product or issuance of a refund, as determined by Mountain Movers, is the purchaser’s exclusive remedy under this warranty.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mountain Movers is not liable for damage to vehicles, including but not limited to roof deformation, cracked panels, damaged roof rails, compromised mounting points, paint damage, water leaks, or structural fatigue. Mountain Movers is also not liable for cargo loss, personal injury, property damage, economic loss, or incidental or consequential damages arising from installation, loading, or use of the product.

7. Warranty Claim Process

Warranty claims must be submitted by email to contact@mountainmoversracks.com and must include proof of purchase, order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs or videos. Information regarding installation method, vehicle configuration, and product use may be requested.

Mountain Movers will review claims within a reasonable timeframe, typically within seven business days. Approval and remedy selection are determined solely by Mountain Movers.

8. Governing Law

This Warranty Policy is governed by applicable consumer protection laws in effect at the customer’s country of residence at the time of purchase. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law remain unaffected.
